Honor Flag Giveaway

Sammy Barnett is the recipient of our Honor Flag Giveaway.
Sammy joined the U.S. Army in 1980. In 1983 he was discharged and joined the Navy Submarine Service where he served for 9 years (1983-1992). He got out of the Navy to raise his family and in 2004 his son, who joined the Navy, was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sammy then contacted a U.S. Army National Guard recruiter and joined once again to deploy to Iraq from 2005-2006 to defend our freedoms and help fight the Global War on Terror. In 2020 Sammy began working as a Veteran Service Officer for Wayne County, MS to assist Veterans with getting their VA benefits started that they deserved.
