Occoquan, Virginia Military Tribute Banner Program

THE 2025 PROGRAM WILL OPEN SOON TO NEW SUBMISSIONS.

VFW Post 7916 and the Town of Occoquan will honor US military veterans with patriotic banners sponsored by family and friends as a testament to the veteran’s service to the nation, state, and local community. These beautiful banners will be displayed in the historic district of Occoquan from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.

Beginning in 2025, we are increasing the number of banner locations from 30 to 40 by using utility poles that have the capability of displaying two banners in lieu of a single banner. If you are sponsoring more than one honoree or banner and would like them to be displayed at the same location please indicate that on your application.
